Currently, 65 TR volunteers are deployed on Operation: Seabird, divided among the cities of Manila, Tacloban, and Carigara. Bravo Team 1 conducted building improvements and stabilization of a field hospital in Carigara, and the 26-person DMAT is fully operational. Yesterday, three babies were delivered while hundreds of patients waited in line to be treated.
Meanwhile, TR is coordinating daily with the World Health Organization and working with Relief International to ensure the ongoing needs of patients in Carigara will continue to be met once TR’s medical personnel return to the States.
